Parking is often in high demand across various areas managed by Northern Beaches Council - including parks and reserves, foreshore and beach carparks, high density urban precincts, and commuter carparks.
Parking permits are a key tool in managing this high demand. The existing physical permits are being progressively replaced by a digital parking permits system.
Digital parking permits are more convenient, simple, and environmentally sustainable.
Customers register, apply, and manage their own permits online.
Payments (where required) are also made online via a secure payment platform.
If your vehicle registration number is not linked to a valid parking permit in the digital parking system, parking fines may apply.
vPermit is the digital parking permit system – provided and hosted by Smarter City Solutions under contract with Northern Beaches Council.
