Car Parking Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions are issued under the relevant legislation.
While parking on the University’s grounds:

drivers must observe all traffic and parking control signs and comply with any directions given by University Parking staff or Security Officer;

a parking fee applies to vehicles parked on University grounds at all times during the paid parking hours and the driver agrees to pay the parking fee as advertised on any parking control sign;

the parking fee must be paid by using one of the following available options:
- a ticket vending machine (pay and display); or
- online using the vPermit system (to eligible persons); or
- online using the pay-as-you-go (PAYG) system.

it is the driver's responsibility to ensure the vehicle is registered online for vPermit or PAYG parking and the relevant fee is paid;

in the case of multiple vehicle registrations for vPermit or PAYG, it is the driver's responsibility to ensure the 'active' vehicle is selected;

the purchase of a vPermit gives a driver permission to park on the University’s grounds but does not guarantee a parking space;

vehicles must be parked in marked bays ;

the University reserves the right to cancel a driver's parking permit or permission to park on its grounds;

permission to park on University land is not a condition of enrolment or employment;

the University accepts no liability or responsibility whatsoever for any damage to or theft of or from vehicles parked on University grounds and drivers undertake to enter and park at their own risk;

the University reserves the right to declare by notice that general parking restrictions, or parking restrictions of any particular kind, not apply for a particular period or location on University grounds; and

in parking on University grounds, drivers acknowledge and agree that parking is managed under the Parking and Traffic By-laws and Policy in accordance with the relevant State legislation and agree to comply at all times with these Parking Terms and Conditions.

In accordance with the requirements of the relevant State Government legislation, the University reserves the right to issue parking infringement notices (PIN) for vehicles in contravention of any of the above terms and conditions.
