About vPermit Virtual Permits.

vPermits are an electronic alternative to traditional paper-based permits and allow the holder to manage their parking permit online through a system hosted by CellOPark on behalf of Macquarie University.

The vPermit is simple to use and largely self-service.

vPermits are available to Macquarie University staff, students, contractors, visitors and others (eligibility conditions apply), to purchase a minimum of three months and up to twelve months, or as decided by the University.

vPermits can be paid online using credit or debit card or in person at locations nominated by the parking operator using credit card, EFTPOS, cash or cheque. Depending on the operator, eligible staff may be able to nominate payment via payroll deduction.

vPermits can be paid for during the online registration process via a credit or debit card.

Eligible staff can pay for their vPermit via payroll deduction.

In some circumstances, it may be more economical for staff to use a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) system, also hosted by CellOPark, rather than a vPermit.  The PAYG system enables users to pay only for the time they park and is open to Macquarie University students and visitors. After completing a one-time registration, users can start and stop their parking using the CellOPark app or by making a call from their mobile phone.
