Terms and Conditions
The purchase of a Deakin parking permit is restricted to University students, staff and authorised visitors/tenants/contractors. Purchasing a parking permit for use by a non-Deakin motorist is contrary to the University’s Code of Conduct.

Long term permits
Long term permits can be purchased via vPermit and entitle the permit holder to park one vehicle on campus. It is the responsibility of the permit holder to ensure their vehicle registration is entered correctly.

Casual parking at Deakin University
OPark is an easy and convenient way to pay for casual parking (hourly/daily) in General permit zones (white bays). Once registered, account holders can start and stop parking permit sessions via the OPark app, the OPark website or by using the OPark call to park service - ph: 6160 1012. Salary sacrifice permits
Eligible staff wishing to purchase a parking permit via salary sacrifice may purchase an Ongoing General or Orange parking permit, via vPermit. Payments will be processed via fortnightly salary deductions and will continue until such time as the permit is cancelled or the employee leaves Deakin. To request cancellation of an Ongoing vPermit, email parking@deakin.edu.au. Please note: there may be one final salary deduction following permit cancellation.

Upgrading Ongoing (salary sacrifice) permits
To request an Ongoing vPermit upgrade or downgrade, email parking@deakin.edu.au. Parking administration staff can cancel your current Ongoing vPermit which will then allow you to purchase the permit upgrade or downgrade. Fortnightly salary deductions will be adjusted accordingly.

Visitor permits
Deakin University Faculties, Divisions and Institutes can issue visitor permits for official University visitors and guests, via vPermit. Requests for access to issue visitor permits are to be directed to parking@deakin.edu.au. A generic team email address and an account code is required for processing monthly charges for all visitor permits issued (if applicable). Please note: University funds must not be used to purchase visitor permits for private vehicles belonging to University staff.

Refunds
Deakin University does not refund parking permits.
